(Layton, Utah) A second-grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School, Amy Carroll, was arrested this week for allegedly selling stolen school supplies at a local swap meet. She faces misdemeanor charges.
“The things that she was selling were paper, books, teaching aids, things like that,” said Lt. Garret Atkin of the Layton police department.Carroll was booked into custody at the Davis County Jail and later released.
Carrol became a target of the school and police investigation after getting a tip.
“We had reports that someone was stealing from the school,” Atkin said. “Then a tip lead us to Carroll.
