Sentencing was last Friday and Gallegos received one year in the Glenn County Jail. She was also ordered to serve four years of probation upon release. According to Glenn County Assistant District Attorney John Vacek,
Vacek said the judge could have sentenced her to more time on the single felony, but felt the sentence was reasonable within the perimeters of the case.Immediately after sentencing, Gallegos was taken away in handcuffs.
"She will have to register as a sex offender," said Vacek. "That's the big deal."
