Virginia Woman's Teen Lover Convicted - Updated

(Staunton, Virginia) Last July, 48-year-old Kimberly Crilley was sentenced to three years in prison for engaging in sex with a 14-year-old boy. She was also ordered to register as a sex offender.

Meanwhile, Crilley's male teen paramour, now 15, has been convicted on charges of breaking and entering with intent to commit assault, entering a home while armed, petty larceny and two charges of misdemeanor destruction of property.
In Augusta County Circuit Court where the appeals were heard, the teen was subdued and slowly answered a judge's questions, a direct contrast to a November hearing that was postponed because of the teen's verbal outbursts.
A social history has been ordered for the teen by Circuit Judge Victor V. Ludwig. Sentencing is scheduled for January 24.

Virginia Woman Guilty in Sex Case - Updated
[Previous 3/14/11 post]
(Staunton, Virginia) Earlier today, 48-year-old Kimberly A. Crilley pleaded guilty to one count of carnal knowledge of a 14-year-old boy and three misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The conviction came amid an ongoing police investigation into the relationship, which also led to charges for the teen and his mother.

Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney John Reed said more charges may also be brought against Crilley, pending test results of evidence sent to a state forensics lab two weeks ago.

Appearing in court next to defense attorney Dana Cormier, Crilley wore a dour expression, interrupted only once by a hesitant smile toward her family.
A pre-sentence report was ordered. Sentencing is scheduled for June 23.

Virginia Woman Jailed for Bond Violation
[Previous 1/24/11 post]
(Mount Solon, Virginia) In October 2010, a 48-year-old local woman, Kimberly Crilley, was charged with engaging in sex with a 14-year-old boy. She faced a charge of carnal knowledge.

Crilley was released on bond with the stipulation that she have no contact with her victim. According to Sheriff's Investigator A.C. Powers:
“She violated the bond conditions she was on,” he said.
As a result, Crilley was arrested for violating the conditions of her bond. She is jailed in Verona.

In the meantime, the boy was apparently forlorn and attempted to claim his woman by breaking into the Crilley home armed with a stick. Kimberly Crilley's husband, Phillip, ended up shooting the boy in the leg after shouting several warnings.
