Michigan Teacher Fined $50 for Sex with 3 Students - Update

(Bay City, Michigan) A 45-year-old teacher formerly at Bay City Central High School, Heidi Eastman (aka Heidi Lewis), pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sex crimes with three male students..

As a result, Eastman was sentenced yesterday to pay $50 in restitution.

(Midland, Michigan) Last month, a 41-year-old substitute teacher at Bay City Central High School, Heidi Lewis, was arrested for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with three male students.

Today, Lewis was arraigned before Bay County District Judge Dawn A. Klida on six counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Bay City Police officers arrested Lewis on Dec. 28 after a female student told a school administer about an alleged relationship involving Lewis and a male student. The administrator passed on the information to police, whose investigation culminated in Lewis’ arrest.

The alleged sexual encounters took place off school property, investigators have said.

Lewis is free on $100,000 bond.
