Too Many Housewives in Germany

The European Union Commission has issued a report informing Germany that women need to start entering the workplace. Germany has too many housewives.
Facing major demographic problems over the next decades, with an ageing population and fewer workers to support the swelling ranks of pensioners, Germany must better integrate women into the labour market, the European Union's executive body said in a report on the German economy.
Germany along with other European countries see a future with their nanny-state welfare and pension programs running out of money and they need more workers.

It's a common problem and no country is immune.

Governments, with the concurrence of the people, legislate more and more costly benefits which ultimately are funded by promises to pay. Promises that often cannot be kept.

Without restraint, the goose runs out of golden eggs and the system collapses. Some might suggest that this is the definition of Obamanomics.
