French warplanes
(New York City) During a panel discussion Tuesday at United Nations headquarters on Iran's nuclear program, French Ambassador Gerard Araud said:
"If we don't succeed today to reach a negotiation with the Iranians, there is a strong risk of military action."[…]Interestingly, although the threat came from a French official, it wasn't a threat that the French would actually take military action. It was merely a Frenchman saying that someone would take military action.
The strike, he said, "would be a very complicated operation. It would have disastrous consequences in the region… all the Arab countries are extremely worried about what is happening."
Heh.
