New Hampshire Teacher Alcohol Problems

(Merrimack, New Hampshire) A 47-year-old French teacher formerly at Merrimack Upper Elementary School, Lisa DiNucci, has been accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense.

DiNucci's previous June 2010 offense involved asking her daughter to blow into a blood-alcohol device to circumvent the ignition lock system.
In the latest incident, at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Merrimack Police Officer Brandon Gagnon observed a Buick Park Avenue traveling south on Daniel Webster Highway and abruptly swerve to the left and cross the solid yellow lines, according to police.

A vehicle heading north had to maneuver out of the way to avoid a crash, police said.

Gagnon stopped the car by the U.S. post office. He detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage, bloodshot eyes and a lack of dexterity, police said.

Dinucci refused field sobriety tests, and based upon the officer’s observations, she was placed under arrest and transported to the Merrimack Police Department, police said.
DiNucci was booked and released on $2,500 bond. A court appearance is scheduled for April 17.
