(Brisbane, Australia) A 46-year-old health care worker, Pandela Carmel Salmon, has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of unlawful carnal knowledge with two boys, ages 14 and 15.
Consequently, Salmon was sentenced to probation. Kind of lenient, eh?
It's claimed that the child sex acts were prompted by Salmon's feelings of depression from alleged bullying at work. Medication reportedly produced rare side effects which caused Salmon to lure boys into sex after plying them with alcohol and drugs.
Judge John McGill, in sentencing, said he accepted the offences were committed as a result of "rare and unexpected" side effects of the prescription medication she had taken. So, the drugs made her do it. And, although Salmon pleaded guilty, no documentation of her conviction will be recorded since it would affect her ability to find a job.
