Illinois Woman Busted for Underage Drinking Party

(Heyworth, Illinois) A 49-year-old local woman, Kathryn Morgan, has been accused of hosting an after-prom drinking party for underage high school students.

Morgan faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of minors.

Police said 27 young adults tested positive for alcohol, 10 tested negative and 14 refused testing. Police said the students ranged from 15 to 18 years old.

Police said no students have been formally charged yet.

On Monday, 31 students admitted to their actions at an assembly at Peoria Notre Dame, said Principal Charlie Roy. They will face consequences, including a 28-day athletic and social probation period, service hours and an alcohol assessment, Roy added.
