California Woman, 24, and Boy, 15 - Update

(Burney, California) In accordance with an agreement with the prosecution, Shell Amelia Harper has pleaded no contest to one felony count of unlawful sex with a 15-year-old boy.

As a result, Harper was sentenced to 180 days in jail and three years' probation.

Three other identical counts were dismissed as a part of her plea bargain, as were two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

An unrelated battery count also was dismissed, but that charge can still be a sentencing consideration.

Harper is scheduled to be formally sentenced August 28.

(Burney, California) A 24-year-old drive-thru attendant at McDonald's, Shell Harper, has been accused of engaging in sex with a 15-year-old boy.

Deputies said they received a tip at 6:30 a.m. of a woman having sex with the victim.

Deputies said they interviewed the victim and Harper before arresting her.

Harper was booked into custody at the Shasta County Jail with bail set at $10,000.
