Colorado Teacher Guilty of Sex Assault - Update

Amanda Rowles, 28, pleaded guilty to sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. She could face several years in prison.Sentencing is scheduled for December.
Tuesday, Rowles cried while reading a statement to the judge, saying she had just broken up with her long time fiancé when the sexual relationship with a 17-year-old boy started.
Rowles was 26-years-old at the time, and a drama teacher at Calhan High School. The relationship started in December 2011.

(Colorado Springs, Colorado) A 27-year-old drama and choir teacher formerly at Calhan High School, Amanda Rowles, has been accused of engaging in sex with two 17-year-old male students.
Rowles faces two counts of sexual assault by one in a position of trust.
In September, El Paso County deputies began investigating a tip from Calhan school administrators that Rowles may have had sexual relationship with a former student.Rowles was booked into custody at the Aurora City Jail with bail set at $50,000.
Deputies interviewed Rowles’ former students, many of whom said they had heard rumors about the teacher.
Those interviews led them to the two boys.
The investigation revealed she had sexual encounters with the two boys during the 2011-12 school year, court papers said.
