Arkansas Teacher Gets More Jail in Sex Case - Update

(Little Rock, Arkansas)
Former Mount St. Mary Academy teacher and volleyball coach Kelly O'Rourke, who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a student, was sentenced Monday to 10 years in prison for repeatedly contacting the victim.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports Judge Barry Sims said he was coming down hard on the teacher for willfully disregarding the court’s no-contact order after pleading guilty in the case.
O'Rourke apparently couldn't stop contacting her victim.

(Little Rock, Arkansas) In June 2012, a teacher and coach at the all-girl Mount St. Mary Academy, Kelly O'Rourke, was accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a student.

O'Rourke was charged with first-degree sexual assault.

Yesterday, Kelly O'Rourke pleaded guilty before Pulaski County Circuit Judge Barry Sims to a charge of sexual assault.
O’Rourke was sentenced to 15 years in prison with all but 120 days suspended.

She was taken into custody and went to the Pulaski County Detention Center to begin serving the 120 days.
O'Rourke was also ordered to register as a sex offender and instructed to stay away from her victim.
