Colorado Teacher Accused in Hit-and-Run
[Previous 3/3/13 post]
(Denver, Colorado) A 31-year-old teacher at AXL Academy in Aurora, Erin Nicole Jackson, has been accused of hit-and-run in an episode where she allegedly plowed into a 16-year-old student in a crosswalk. The victim, Deyondrah Bridgeman, suffered a severe brain injury.

Jackson faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious bodily injury and misdemeanor careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury.
Surveillance camera footage shows a black Chevrolet Malibu slamming into Bridgeman on Wednesday morning as the teen crossed Colfax Avenue near East High School. The vehicle never never showed signs of swerving over stopping after barreling over the student.

Jackson turned herself in to police early Thursday morning, a day after the accident.
Jackson was booked into custody with bond set at $25,000.

Could have been under the influence, or more distracted by talking or texting. I do know, if I hit a black or other minority, in some areas, I would not stop either though. I would call it in, but suggest I don't believe it is safe to stop and render assistance. I won't die for a stupid law. She probably feels, if that were the case, since she is a teacher, she can't tell the truth. She has been programmed but she isn't a complete idiot, either.
