Cockroach Farming

(Jinan, China) The largest cockroach producer in China, Wang Fuming, 43, says his favorite breed is the reddish-brown American cockroach.

Reportedly, the cockroaches are dried and pulverized into powder for use in medicines and cosmetics. Cockroach powder is used to treat baldness, AIDS and cancer.

Fried cockroaches are considered a delicacy for human consumption. The going price is around $20 per pound.
