Nevada Teacher Accused of Sexual Conduct with Student
[Previous 4/3/13 post]
(Carson City, Nevada) In October 2012, a teacher formerly at Carson City High School, Jennifer Dalton, was charged with engaging in sexual conduct with a student.

Dalton was booked into custody at the Carson City Jail with bail set at $15,000.

Yesterday, Dalton, 35, appeared in Carson City District Court and pleaded not guilty to sexual conduct with a student.
The investigation began on August 31, 2011 after the sheriff’s office was contacted by the Human Resources Director of the School District. Carson City School District Superintendent Richard Stokes said Dalton was put on administrative leave with pay from September 2011 to November 2011 and then resigned for personal reasons.

According to the Carson City Sheriff's Office, there was forensics analysis used during the investigation, and as a result, the district attorney saw enough evidence to charge her and issue a warrant for her arrest.
The case continues.
