Florida Psychic Accused of Grand Theft, Didn't See It Coming

(Boca Raton, Florida) A 25-year-old local woman, Stephanie Thompson, who claims to have psychic powers, has been arrested for grand theft and organized fraud.

The alleged victim, according to police, was told by Thompson that she had a curse on her and it could be removed by giving her $2,000.

Thompson, according investigators, then told the woman she would have to have more money to remove a curse on it.

The alleged victim said she was told she would get the money back once Thompson meditated over it and 'it was clear.'

Investigators say that the client was told not to say anything to anyone and that she should withdraw money in small amounts so she would not raise suspicion.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Thompson told the women that she could get the same cancer that her mother had if she did not hand over the money.

Police say that over a series of weeks Thompson took a total of $109,000 from the alleged victim.

Thompson was booked into custody at the Palm Beach County Jail.
