Teacher Accused of Sex with Impaired Student
A Queensland teacher has been accused of maintaining a sexual relationship with a mentally impaired teenage schoolboy. The teacher was booked into custody and released on bail.
Police will allege the female teacher had a consensual sexual relationship with the 15-year-old special needs student, who's been described as having the "highest level" of impairment.
It will be claimed the 26-year-old even invented a friendship between her young lover and her own brother.
That friendship was used as a guise so she could have regular contact, including sleepovers, with the impaired boy, police will argue in court.
The teacher is facing five counts of carnal knowledge of a child under 16 and five counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16.
