Georgia Teacher Accused of Sex with Student

(Augusta, Georgia) A 25-year-old English Language Arts teacher at Burke County High School, Ashley Nichole Ashe, has been accused of engaging in a sexual encounter with a student.

Ashe faces a charge of aggravated child molestation.

The Burke County Board of Education and the Sheriff’s Office started an investigation into the alleged incident with a 16-year-old student.[…]

The teacher has been placed on administrative leave, the Burke County School System said.

Ashe is in custody awaiting a bond hearing.
