Arizona Woman Faces Child Porn Charges
(Phoenix, Arizona) A local woman, Roxanne Chapin, has been arrested for child pornography offenses.
Chapin faces one count of child molestation, two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to James Holmes, a police spokesman, investigators from the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force said they intercepted images of a toddler being sexually abused that were sent from the north Phoenix home of 26-year-old Roxanne Chapin.Details on booking not provided.
Investigators said they took two children, ages 3 and 6, from the home near Interstate 17 and Loop 101 and arrested Chapin at about 6 p.m. on Friday.
"Detectives interviewed the suspect and she admitted to molesting the two victims, taking photos of the abuse and creating child pornography," Holmes said in a news release. "The suspect also admitted to distributing the images. Detectives served a search warrant on the suspect's home and located additional images of the child."
