New York Bank Manager Steals $1.4 Million
(Ossining, New York) A 46-year-old bank manager, Maria Rodriguez, has pleaded guilty to theft of more than $1.4 million from depositors.
Over the course of five years, Maria Rodriguez, the branch manager at the M&T Bank in Ossining, stole more than $1 million from one victim she had known since the mid-1990's and another $250,000-plus from a 92-year-old retired police officer.Sentencing is scheduled for May 20.
Rodriguez pleaded guilty to one count of grand larceny in the first degree, one count of grand larceny in the second degree and one count of criminal tax fraud in the third degree.
