New Jersey Woman Arrested for Selling Tickets to Fake Concert
(Lumberton, New Jersey) A Burlington County woman, Kelly Bryan, has been arrested for selling tickets to a fake concert featuring Sheryl Crow. Crow was never scheduled to perform.
Bryan faces counts of theft by deception and deceptive business practice.
Lumberton Police first learned of the event earlier this month, which was being advertised by KBR Promotions.Bryan was booked into custody at the Burlington County Jail on $100,000 bail.
They say after hearing about the concert, they began planning public safety measures. It didn't take long for detectives to realize the concert was sham.
Investigators say Bryan sold roughly 300 tickets at $60 a piece. She even had flyers for sponsorships and vendors - but no headliner.
