Kerry Campaign Pulls Ads

Among likely voters nationally, polling indicates Bush leads Kerry by 50 to 46 percent. Nonetheless, Kerry advisors are watching state polls and finding that they are regionally too far behind President Bush in Louisiana, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Missouri to justify continued spending in those states. Consequently, they've pulled their campaign ads to save an estimated $5 million for use in more competitive venues.

In lieu of using polls to determine a candidate's strength among the voters, prudent observers will watch how the campaign teams shuffle their money.
