Utah Valley State College

Here's a story from last week that's well worth passing on. One person in the administration of Utah Valley State College, Vice-President Joe Vogel, decided to deplete almost the entire budget of $50,000 for speakers by inviting Michael Moore to address the students. This happened after Michael Moore's marketing team chewed on his ear.

A firestorm of protest and complaint has erupted. Conservative Sean Hannity has even offered to debate Moore at UVSC for free.
"Michael Moore: Come out, come out, wherever you are," Hannity said, during an exclusive telephone interview with the [Deseret] Morning News. "If he wants to debate this election, I accept the debate. Let's debate it."
Discussions to have Sean Hannity appear are in progress. Meanwhile, UVSC students are collecting signatures to force a recall election, giving students the chance to veto the decision to invite Moore to speak, as well as remove Vogel and student government president Jim Bassi from office.

The story continues to develop and Doug at All-Encompassingly has been on top of the reporting. Go visit.

By the way, if I was going to guess on the email address of Joe "I'm-The-Smartest-Person-In-Utah" Vogel, it would be jvogel@uvsc.edu. It's just a guess.
