Terrorist Manhunt in Boston

There has been an uncorroborated report that several illegal aliens from the California/Mexico border are on their way to Boston carrying explosive material for evil intent. The aliens are described as four to six illegal Iraqi and Chinese. Federal, state, and local officials have been mobilized and the blogosphere is alive.

Boston Threat Suspects
Four Chinese Suspects

The four Chinese suspects pictured (via The Roth Report) are named Zengrong Lin, Wen Quin Zheng, Xiujin Chen, and Guozhi Lin. At this time, the terrorism threat level has not been changed but officials have been meeting at the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency facility in Framingham since early this afternoon.

Jeff Quinton at the Backcountry Conservative is liveblogging and relays that there's reason to believe that some sort of nuclear material is being transported to Boston through New York. It also appears that the information concerning the purported terrorists came from a man who smuggled them across the border.

Chad Evans at In The Bullpen is following the story and provides some information and a discussion of dirty bombs.

A listing of specific al-Qaeda operatives with known ties to the Boston area has been posted by Michelle Malkin. Interestingly, none appear to be Chinese, but they may be al-Qaeda connections in the Bay State.

Chris Short at Our Life and Scott Boone of The Speed Of Thought are also covering the story in real time, updating as new information becomes known. Over at Ace Of Spades HQ, a noteworthy comment thread has developed.

Nevertheless, the manhunt continues.

In reading about this story throughout the Internet, it's been casually mentioned that reactions may be bordering on panic and more fevered than circumstances warrant. Personally, I don't think that the appropriate time for sober reflection is in the middle of a manhunt.
