Professor's Laptop Stolen

(San Luis Obispo, California) Over 3,000 current and former students' names and Social Security numbers were listed on a laptop stolen from the home of California Polytechnic University professor John Mottman. Cal Poly has sent a letter to those affected.

How nice.

The data in jeopardy applies to all of Mottman's students between 1994 and 2004. Mottman teaches physics.
