Mexican Migrant Arrested for Kidnapping, Molesting Child

(Soledad, California) According to Monterey County Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old Geronimo Islas Hernandez was arrested for allegedly molesting a 10-year-old girl who lived in the home where he was a boarder. Sgt. Ron Willis stated that Hernandez faces charges of kidnapping, forcible child molestation and false imprisonment.

From CBS2.com:
Hernandez allegedly picked the lock to the girl's bedroom door before forcibly dragging her out of bed and into his room, Willis said. He tied up her hands and fondled her through her clothing, the sergeant said.

The girl's mother told investigators she heard noises, went to his room to investigate and found him undressed with her daughter. Hernandez fled and she called deputies, Willis said.

Hernandez telephoned the next morning to ask another man living in the home if he could bring him his jacket. Hernandez arranged to meet the man at a park to fetch the jacket, investigators said.
His plan didn't work and he was arrested.

I'd be surprised if Hernandez is a U.S. citizen. For some reason, the immigration status of Hispanic suspects is a detail that is left out of many crime reports.
