Prisoner Eats Cellmate

(Rouen, France) I've heard people rave about French cuisine, however, I'm sure they weren't referring to the fare in this report.
A FRENCH prisoner who killed a cellmate and apparently ate part of his chest and lungs was sentenced today to 45 days in isolation while awaiting trial, his lawyer said.

Nicolas Cocaign, 35, has been charged with premeditated murder and "violating the integrity of a corpse" over the gory incident early this month and is to appear on Tuesday before a judge in the northwestern city of Rouen.
The lawyer defending Cocaign says he needs care instead of isolation in a cell. Okay, but keep him away from the kitchen and the caregivers.
Cocaign - who was awaiting trial on charges of armed rape - has confessed to the attack, saying he was overcome with a sudden violent urge.

His 31-year-old victim was beaten, cut with scissors and a razor, strangled and finally asphyxiated with a plastic bag.

Cocaign apparently devoured parts of his lungs and chest, possibly after preparing them in a cooker. Detectives were still awaiting test results from samples of fat and onion taken from the cell.
Mmmm ... sauteed cellmate with onion.
