Sex Offender Impersonates Cop in School

(Farmington, New Mexico) A 25-year-old convicted sex offender, Kyle Lamone, was arrested Tuesday at Tibbetts Middle School and charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon on school grounds and impersonating a police officer. The weapon was a six-inch folding knife. According to Police Sgt. Daryl Noon, Lamone has visited the school twice before.

It's not clear what motivated Lamone to enter the school dressed as a police officer. He told the principal that he planned to speak to a former teacher.

Interestingly, Lamone was convicted of sex crimes in 2000 and sentenced to two years in prison. Somehow, he was released after less than two weeks according to records. Do you think it was for good behavior?
