Teacher Guilty of Manslaughter, DWI in Fatal Crash
(Stamford, Connecticut) A 33-year-old former second-grade teacher at the International School at Rogers Magnet in Stamford, Tricia Coccomo, was found guilty by a jury yesterday of manslaughter and driving while intoxicated in a 2005 crash that killed three people.
Coccomo crossed the center line in her car while drunk and hit another vehicle head-on, killing the driver, James Inverno, 72, his wife, Barbara, 58, and passenger, Glenn Shelley, 23.
Coccomo faces a possible 45 years in prison when she is sentenced on March 30.
