Teacher Jailed for Slamming Kid's Head

(Macon, Georgia) A 61-year-old kindergarten teacher at Bernd Elementary School, Eleanor Jean Lakin, was arrested last Friday for allegedly slamming a 5-year-old girl's head into a computer keyboard.

From Macon.com:
Sheriff's office reports show Lakin also pulled the girl's chair out from underneath her, causing her to fall to the floor as she sat down.

When the girl stood up, Lakin allegedly grabbed her, hit her in the back of the neck and slammed her head onto the keyboard while squeezing her head, according to sheriff's office reports.
Bibb County school officials placed Lakin on administrative leave. It's unknown whether she will be charged with a misdemeanor or a felony.
