(Fort Wayne, Indiana) In December 2006, former corrections officer at the Northeast Juvenile Correctional Facility, Margaret A. Wiley, was arrested and charged with felony sexual misconduct and trafficking with a 16-year-old male inmate. She was booked and released on bond.
Wiley was terminated from her position in October after an internal corrections department investigation of alleged misconduct in August 2006.
This week, Wiley, 28, pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct in accordance with a plea deal. In return, prosecutors agreed to drop the trafficking charge at sentencing. There is no agreement regarding punishment. Wiley faces a possible three years in prison when sentenced, currently planned for later this month.
Wiley won't be required to register as a sex offender, but "she must receive sexual perpetrators' counseling." It's not clear what that is.

Wiley Violates Probation
She has been in jail since December after she was accused of violating her probation by having what prosecutors Monday deemed "incidental" contact with a child younger than 18.One must suspect that Wiley has friends in high places because the Indiana justice system is doing everything possible to keep her out of jail.
As part of her probation, Wiley was prohibited from having contact with children.
Allen Superior Magistrate Robert Schmoll ordered Wiley placed back on probation after she admitted the violation, but under a "zero tolerance policy," and extended her probation by two months.
