(Houston, Texas) A 22-year-old local woman, Shavon Silvia Frederick, was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a 10-year-old boy in 1999 and sentenced to probation. Frederick was also ordered to register as a sex offender. Since October 2006, Frederick has been wanted by police for failing to register. Warrants have been issued for her arrest both for failure to register and for a theft charge.
This is an odd case. As described, Frederick was only 14 years old when sentenced to probation for the sex assault of a 10-year-old. Therefore, she essentially paid no price for her crime with the exception of having to register as a sex offender. And now she's an adult, whereabouts unknown, and possibly possessing the same proclivities she displayed as a juvenile.
