Preschool Teacher Busted for Crack Cocaine

(Dallas, Texas) A 32-year-old teacher at Mi Escuelita Preschool, Josefa Isabel Ybarra, was arrested on Sunday for allegedly possessing crack cocaine found during a traffic stop.

Officers said they pulled over Josefa Isabel Ybarra, 32, about 7 p.m. in the 1700 block of Fort Worth Avenue in West Dallas for failing to maintain a single lane of traffic. She seemed nervous, according to a police report.

"Officer, I don't want to go to jail. I got this for a friend," she said when asked by the officer whether there was anything in the car, according to the report. She handed him a rock of cocaine, the report said.

School officials placed Ms. Ybarra on unpaid leave.
