Virginia Teacher Accused of Inappropriate Relationship with Boy

(Newport News, Virginia) A 27-year-old teacher at Aberdeen Elementary School, Rebecca Jane Shook, has been accused of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old boy, a friend of the family.

Shook has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to Newport News Police spokeswoman Holly McPherson, the boy's parents contact authorities after finding a text message from Shook to the boy. The contents of the text message were not disclosed.
