(Covington, Georgia) A 28-year-old teacher's aide at Cousins Middle School, Brandi McMichael, was arrested this week for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old student. According to Newton County Sheriff's Lt. Bill Watterson, McMichael has been charged with first-degree child molestation, sending illicit materials through a cell phone to a minor, enticing a child for indecent purposes and interfering with custody.
McMichael was booked into custody at the Newton County Jail and later released on $7,000 bond.
