Florida Woman Allegedly Sneaks Dope into Jail

(Palatka, Florida) A 35-year-old local woman, Kerri Lyn Bennett, has been arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle marijuana into the county jail.

Corrections officers at the Putnam County Jail, while monitoring the video surveillance system, saw an inmate slide a clipboard to a female visitor Sunday.

Investigators say the woman dropped a baggie onto the floor. They say she was trying to drop it onto the clipboard so the inmate could slide it back under the cell door.

One of the officers stepped in and seized the baggie, which contained marijuana.

Bennett has been charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and introducing contraband.

I contend that this was a pretty dumb stunt. Arguably, dopers are renowned for their dumb stunts.
