Man Boiled Alive in Soup Vat

(Luebeck, Germany) A 36-year-old German man named Markus was boiled alive in a soup vat owned by a subsidiary of Campbell's. Markus was cleaning inside the industrial-sized container when the lid accidentally closed and jets of boiling water commenced automatically, a process used to disinfect vegetables.
"For reasons we have still not cleared up, the disinfection process started too soon," a police spokesman told the paper.
By the time he was found, Markus was cooked.

The factory was temporarily closed.
