Casualty at Pot Parade

(Toronto, Ontario) High in a tree, a man falls and sustains critical injuries.
The man was perched about 20 to 30 metres up a tree at Queen’s Park around 4:20 p.m., as the Global Marijuana March unfolded below.

As the tree swayed in the wind, someone called emergency crews to rescue the man. Before help could arrive, he fell.

Paramedics arrived quickly and transported the man to St. Michael’s Hospital in critical condition, said EMS duty officer Dave Viljak.

The man’s name and age are unknown.
It's not reported that the man was using marijuana so it can't be said he was high, high in a tree but something caused him to lose his grip. However, with unnecessary specificity, the incident allegedly occurred at 4:20 p.m. which gives a hint. The number 420 is a way to "express the acceptance of smoking pot or accepting someone who does so, without overtly mentioning pot or marijuana."

Therefore, I'll suggest that the man was stoned out of his gourd while perched 60 to 90 feet in a tree above city pavement. What a hoser, eh?
