(Moscow, Russia) Seeing the ease of which the United States simply prints money to meet financial obligations, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin yesterday accused Americans of hooliganism.
"Thank God, or unfortunately, we do not print a reserve currency but what are they doing? They are behaving like hooligans, switching on the printing press and tossing them around the whole world, forgetting their main obligations," Putin told a meeting of economic experts at the Russian Academy of Sciences. This proves that basic arithmetic is taught in Russia and it leads me to believe that a similar course of instruction would benefit the button-pushing money-printers in Washington, D.C.
For the sake of exercise, I suggest that a survey be conducted of parents in Congress and the Obama administration to learn what percentage give their kids unlimited allowances.
