(India) Ford Figo advertising in India carries the tagline "Leave Your Worries Behind."

Ford has come under fire for a new series of print advertisements — featuring bound-and-gagged celebs stuffed into a hatchback's boot — promoting the Figo in India.

The Indian press has blasted the adverts, with at two of them being branded outright sexist. And the timing couldn't have been worse... it's been just days since new anti-rape legislation was passed by the Indian parliament.

One of the adverts shows former Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi holding three barely clad women hostage. Another shows Paris Hilton seemingly kidnapping three of the Kardashians. The final print commercial depicts F1 legend Michael Schumacher snatching Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton.

Ford has apologized.
