Another Theft From Blind Deli Owner

Looks like we have a crime spree.

(Hamilton County, Ohio) Another person, Andre Wilson, 43, has been arrested for stealing from Kent Parker, the blind owner of a deli inside the Hamilton County Courthouse.

Readers may recall from earlier this month that 19-year-old Mary Cayze was arrested for the same offense.

From The Enquirer:
Deputy Ken Pendleton reviewed videotape from the deli and identified Wilson as the man stealing a fruit pie and drink -- valued at $2.30 -- from the shop.

At 8:13 a.m. today, Wilson walked into the Courthouse and then into Parker's first-floor deli.

He was seen stuffing milk, apple pies, juice and 13 Slim Jims -- valued at $9.75 -- in his pants without paying for the items, the sheriff's office said.

He was arrested and charged with theft for the two incidents.
Since the thefts were from a blind person, the charges are felonies. So, for about $12, Andre Wilson possibly faces a future as a felon.

In the Cayze case and another case in April where LaTonya Brown, 39, was arrested, a one-dollar bill was given to the deli owner while telling him it was a $10 bill. Both Cayze and Brown also face felonies.

Sheesh! Three people collared in a month! You'd think the word would get around not to steal from the blind guy in the courthouse.
