In case anyone was wondering, there is a government approved method of eating carrots in Britain. According to the Stockport Express, compliance with the National School Fruit Scheme requires carrot-eaters:
. . . to 'wash the carrots, eat them from the bottom and discard the top.'Teachers and administrators are astounded and have described the instructions as "bureaucracy gone mad."
The National School Fruit Scheme provides four to six-year-olds all over England with free fruit and vegetables at school.
