STRAY ANIMALS IN GALVESTON

This story from the Galveston County Daily News caught my eye because of the published numbers of stray dogs and cats that are euthanized yearly.
More than 8,100 stray animals are put to death each year in Galveston County animal shelters.
Based upon a forty-hour week, somebody has the job of killing more than thirty cats and dogs daily, every day, every gruesome day. That same person then probably has to dispose of the weighty, smelly carcasses.

Just a thought.
