(Toledo, Ohio) The city of Toledo apparently felt that there were not enough local bureaucracies and conducted a review to determine which aspect of governing needed more public employees. They found one.
A "homeless services authority," with paid staff, is the likely outcome of a $40,000 study now being conducted of Toledo's homeless problem and its existing services.Matt White of Columbus was charged with performing the study. He has experience with other government agencies responsible for improving the standard of living of vagrants in other cities.
No official has responded to the inquiry as to whether it's time for Toledo to also have an agency for food-giveaways.
Along with San Francisco paying their vagrants and Chicago now planning on building homes along with paying them, the vagrant lifestyle is becoming more and more attractive. Don't be too surprised if the numbers of vagrants increases proportionally with the increase in benefits.
