Officer Wins Malicious Prosecution Case

(Virginia Beach, VA) A bicycle officer was accused of scratching Joseph F. Seeley's car while writing a ticket at the Oceanfront in August. Circuit Judge Stephen C. Mahan, ruling in a malicious prosecution lawsuit, disagreed and awarded Seeley to pay Officer Christopher T. Willis $25,000 in compensatory damages and $25,000 in punitive damages.
