(Kentville, Nova Scotia) This is a somewhat dated wrong place, wrong time story that's been edited for clarity.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police dogs from across the province were participating in training exercises at nearby Camp Aldershot when a car thief ditched a stolen car and fled into the woods. Kentville police informed the RCMP and Constable Fraser said two or three canine units took part in the chase - to the tune of Who Let the Dogs Out, which was playing in one of the dog handler's vehicles.Hearing several barking dogs AND the song must have made the car thief think he was dreaming.
"He chose the wrong time and the wrong place to steal a vehicle," said RCMP Constable Gary Smith. "Because there was an exercise going on in the area, we were able to send several dogs."
