'Naked Photographer' Sentenced

(Columbus, Ohio) Earlier this month, attorney Stephen Linnen, 34, pleaded guilty to dozens of counts of public indecency, sexual imposition and criminal trespassing. Linnen liked to traipse around, expose himself to women, then take pictures of their shocked expressions. For the crimes, Judge Tommy Thompson sentenced Linnen to 18 months in jail.

The judge also ruled that Linnen can keep his license to practice law and may leave the jail to do so. Linnen will be required to continue seeking psychiatric counseling for sex addiction, but he will not be required to register as a sex offender.

I'm flummoxed. The judge sentences him to jail for multiple sex offenses, requires he seek help for sex addiction, but doesn't classify him as a sex offender. Linnen will be allowed to continue practicing law even though he's been found in gross violation of the law. The judge seems to be ignoring the statistically likely future aberrant behavior by this pervert.
