Canadian Submarine Distressed Off Irish Coast

According to this report, a Canadian diesel-electric submarine called the HMCS Chicoutimi had a fire onboard and lost propulsion in the North Atlantic Ocean about 100 nautical miles (180 kilometers) northwest of Ireland. It's been reported that some crew members suffered from smoke inhalation. Rescue operations by Canadian Forces and the Royal Navy are underway.
