Sentenced To Death For Eating Livers

A serial killer who said he ate the livers of his victims was sentenced to death today for butchering 20 people in one of South Korea's biggest murder cases, court officials said.

The Seoul Central District Court found Yoo Young-Chul, 33, guilty of murdering 20 people, mostly young prostitutes.

Yoo, who was arrested on July 16 and confessed to killing 21 people, mutilated the bodies of at least 11 victims and burned three others over a period of 10 months.

Yoo told investigators that eating human liver cleared his mind and improved his body. Psychiatrists said that Yoo has a personality disorder because his wife divorced him while he was doing hard time in the slammer.

Excuse me! Killing and eating people would have to be diagnosed as something more severe than a 'personality disorder.'
