(Marshfield, Wisconsin) Smack in the middle of the state of Wisconsin, adjacent Marshfield and Spencer public school systems are spending taxpayer dollars out of the local education budget to advertise for students during an open-enrollment period.
"This is a serious time for schools, the end of the open enrollment period," said Dave Wessel, Superintendent for Spencer. "We live in an information age. Things are clearly different now than they used to be. Parents have more choices now than they ever did before."To have a local public school official actually whine about having to provide a competitive education experience to students is great. Let there be more whining.
